YOUTH 

Hidden Jewels Unleashed is a transformative year-round creative arts and youth empowerment program located in downtown Hayward. Our mission is to empower youth aged 7 to 14 through creative expression, fostering positive mindsets and equipping them with valuable skills that promote personal growth and resilience. 

 

Our program addresses critical social and emotional challenges faced by youth in our community, particularly those from low-income neighborhoods, single-parent households, foster care, and environments marked by trauma. These vulnerable populations often struggle with self-esteem, positive self-identity, and the ability to envision a brighter future. By providing a safe and nurturing environment, Hidden Jewels Unleashed offers a preventative and responsive approach that helps youth build emotional and psychological resilience while developing critical life skills through creativity and mentorship.

 Our comprehensive program provides various creative arts disciplines, including theater, storytelling, screenwriting, innovative weekly projects, marketing material, and event production. We also assist with homework and conduct field trips. Participants engage in hands-on projects, culminating in short films and theatrical presentations that are showcased to the Hayward community. This experiential learning enhances their artistic capabilities and improves essential skills such as reading, public speaking, and teamwork.
